Saturday 9th July & Saturday 20th August | 2022 | 8pm - 10.30pm
Sawmills Village Hall
£5
Ceilidhs (pronounced "Kay-lea") are enjoyed by all ages – from youngsters' first Scottish dancing experience to old-timers out enjoying a burl.
£5 admission, no need to book or buy in advance. Just rock up and join in the dancing.
There will be no band at this event, just an announcer with recorded music. Very ceilidh retro ✨.
BYOB, drinking vessels and snacks.
People come dressed in jeans, full highland dress – and everything in between, but make sure you wear something comfortable to dance in.
You don't need to know what to do – an announcer will be calling the dances and explaining what you need to do as you go along. There are lots of friendly folks to give you a hand and get everyone up dancing.
Ceilidhs will be recorded to improve the dancer's experience ie how I call the dances, and to advertise future ceilidhs along with improving dancers' experience.
If you don't want to be included in any of these promotional videos, please let the staff know on the night.
