Goose Fair
The Forest Recreation Ground Wednesday 4th - Sunday 8th October 2017
We really can’t miss Goose Fair off the list this weekend – an annual event that Nottingham natives have held in their hearts for around 700 years. This biggest travelling fair in Europe is the perfect way to welcome the autumn. We suggest some hot mushy peas and mint sauce to warm you up, but only after whizzing around on one of the dazzling rides. For those who are interested in the history of the fair, from the days when actual geese were invited, you can check out a photography exhibition in the Market Square chronicling the lifespan of this locally loved affair.
