The ever-enchanting Light Night sees the city come alive with illuminations, installations and inspired performances. This year’s delights are all inspired by the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 spaceflight and landing of the first man on the moon. Don’t miss the mesmerising Museum of the Moon - a spectacular artwork by Luke Jerram, created using NASA imagery to replicate the lunar surface with astounding detail – which will be on show at the Royal Concert Hall. Other highlights include the illuminated parade of colourful dancers, magical performers, glowing lanterns and puppets, which will start at 7pm in Sneinton Market, and Enchanted Water at the canal basin, which combines projections, installations and storytelling exploring the heritage of the Canal. Don’t forget to take a spin on the The Wheel of Nottingham – a 60m high observation wheel. The wheel will be around from 8 – 24 of February, but there’s no better opportunity to take in the breath-taking views of city skyline than Light Night!
