The Cadbury Easter bunny has been out hiding his eggs across Nottinghamshire and you can crack his clues and follow the trails to earn a chocolatey rewards at Clumber Park and Hardwick Hall. Get egg-static at Belvoir Castle and Engine Yard, where you can take part in their fun-filled Nursery Rhyme Treasure Hunt. Explore Green's Windmill and the community garden to hunt down the hidden eggs and win amazing prizes. Check out the UK’s first Easter Bunny Grotto at Twinlakes family theme park. Or, to find out more about eggs of the non-chocolate variety, at Thoresby Park little ones can help Thoresbunny track down which eggs were laid by which of his feathered woodland friends and see if they can spot any birds fluttering about while they’re at it.

Hop along to the National Ice Centre’s Easter Egg-stravaganza for lots of family fun. As well as taking your turn on the ice to show off your skating skills there will be arts and crafts to get cracking with a chance to meet new-born lambs, cute bunnies, and chirping chicks at the Easter petting zoo. Meet the Easter bunny on a very special steam train ride through the pretty Nottinghamshire countryside on Sunday and Monday. Bring the family together for a day out at Southwell Racecourse on Sunday, where the kids can enjoy a circus, fairground attractions, Shetland Pony rides and much more, as well as the exciting races on the tracks.

Uncover Sherwood Forest with Robin Hood and Maid Marian

The legendary Sherwood Forest is always a wonderful place to explore, but things are even more magical with Maid Marian and our outlaw hero Robin Hood as your expert guides! Join them as they tell tales from the medieval days, share secrets of the forest and guide you to Robin’s famous tree, the Major Oak. There’s lots of other things to see and do while you’re there, like fun have-a-go-archery sessions to complete your Robin Hood experience and drumming workshops, as well as an Easter trail amongst the ancient oaks. Be sure to check the board by the Visitor Centre on the day to see what craft activities and talks are taking place.

There’s lots to do and see this weekend at this spectacular site just outside the market town of Hucknall. In the magnificent pumping room, the great Victorian engines will be in steam, giving a great opportunity to glimpse how our water system worked during the 19th century. If you’re feeling brave, you can also take a tour of the underground reservoir! Back up on the ground there will be a craft and gardening fair taking place on the lawns, along with a display of miniature submarines around the pond, making for a varied day out with something for everyone to enjoy.
