Halloween at Holme Pierrepont Park

Take the family on a special Halloween outing at Holme Pierrepont Country Park this Friday 29 October and celebrate the spooky season this October Half Term! There are no tricks, just treats! With an exclusive pass to the Outdoor Adventure Zone activities, you can go to wuthering heights with the Sky Trail, have a go at the fun Mini Golf course and try out the adrenaline fuelled Archery Combat! For even more fun, the Country Park Café will be open along with a DJ and face painting upon request and you can even take on a spooky trail and make your way through the old Segway woods...  you never know what you'll find.

Halloween Weekend at Creswell Crags

The Witching hour has struck at Creswell Crags and they're coming to get you... for a fang-tastic time! Mother Grundy and her friends have escaped her cave at Creswell Crags and ended up in all sorts of trouble! With the Witch Hunt Trail (£3 per participant) you can search the curious caves for the magic word to put Mother Grundy and her friends back where they belong! All participants will receive a trail sheet, Creswell Crags pencil to keep, and a small goody bag of Halloween treats. If you're a lover of fancy dress, Creswell Crags have got something fun in store for you this spooky season because they're back with their annual Halloween Photo Competition! Take a photo at their Halloween photo station in your spookiest costume and you might just win a prize!


Spectacle of Light

The grounds of Rufford Abbey are looking particularly stunning this weekend! The illuminated trail, Spectacle of Light, turns the estate into a magical world of colourful lights with sparkling installations throughout the beautiful gardens and romantic ruins. Captain your own ship and scale the castle walls as you explore the night-time wonder of the new Adventure Play Area with surprising sculptures, meteors and much, much more! Condemned at National Justice Museum

Walk in the steps of the condemned on National Justice Museum's special tour this weekend for a scaringly good Halloween! Come in, come in... if you dare. You're invited to Nottingham’s historic County Gaol for a series of chilling events culminating in a final fright night on All Hallows Eve. Stand in the dock where the condemned heard their fates, visit the dark cells where they spent their final hours before finally being escorted to the courtyard, where the gallows loom and bodies were laid to rest. Hear twisted tales of true crime and discover the horrible histories of those who came before you on this new socially distanced guided tour of the 18th century Gaol.
