Easter Weekender at Nottingham Castle
Friday 15th April - Monday 18th April | Nottingham Castle | 10am - 4pm | Tickets: £13 per adult, £9.50 per child
Join Nottingham Castle this Easter for four days of circus-themed Easter fun! They'll be hosting a programme jam-packed with activities for families and visitors of all ages during the bank holiday weekend. The Easter Weekender will feature a trail of bespoke eggs hidden throughout the grounds, where explorers will need to collect a letter from each egg to claim a chocolate treat from the Castle Visitor Centre.
You can also expect circus entertainers, a bubble-ologist, stilt walkers, circus workshops, a glitter face-painter and live music in the historic bandstand throughout the day. On your visit, make sure to get some pictures with the trail of beautifully decorated owls, which previously formed The Nottingham Wise Owl Walk. Each of the ten wise owls is completely unique and has Nottingham related names including The Sheriff of Nottinghoot, Lacey, Ey Up Duck! and Raleigh Apple.
Entrance to the festival will be included as part of the general admission. Timed entry to Robin Hood Adventures is also included in the price as well as access to the new exhibition entitled Laura Knight & Caroline Walker: A Female Gaze.

Easter Holiday Fun - Easter Biscuit Baking
Saturday 16th April | Green's Windmill & Science Centre | 10.15am – 2.30pm | Tickets: £4 per child
Make some memories (and some biscuits) at Green’s Windmill this Easter! Suitable for ages 3 and over, your little ones can bake their own Easter biscuits in this Easter inspired biscuit baking workshop. You can expect themed cookie cutters and all ingredients to be supplied.
Booking is essential for this fun-filled activity, and you can choose from six 45-minute sessions, running from 10.15am - 2.30pm all day.
Green’s Windmill are also hosting an Eggciting Easter Egg Hunt from Wednesday 13th - Friday 15th April.

You're never too young to learn how to skate! Designed especially for parents with pre-schoolers, little ones can take to the ice at the National Ice Centre and grow confidence at their own pace while they skate with the ice equipment. The entire ice rink is exclusively for little ones and parents/guardians only so there will be no older children on the ice.
This is the perfect way of getting your family active and trying something new this Easter Bank Holiday weekend and can help develop a range of skills such as balance, flexibility and dexterity. And don't forget, children aged 5 and under skate for free!

Explore themes of fantasy, speculative fiction and afro-futurism in collaboration with The Screen at Nottingham Contemporary.
Samuel L Jackson's avenging black samurai kicks off Hustle Cinematic, a new platform for immersive screening events to bring people together to enjoy the transformative power of film.
Launching with Afro Samurai, the Emmy-nominated anime featuring a black samurai voiced by Samuel L Jackson avenging the wrongful death of his father with music scored by RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan, the event will explore themes of fantasy, speculative fiction and afro-futurism.
You can also enjoy live music from Uncle Mo on the decks fusing afro-leaning funk, jazz and disco and Leeds based scratch DJ NikNak with a set inspired by Sun Ra and comic book fiction will round off the evening while artist Kim Thompson completes the immersive experience with a brand new collection of vivid illustrations inspired by her love of Afrofuturism, kitsch, sci-fi and retro visions of the future.
This event is free to register for but has limited capacity. Remember, you can always arrive early for a bite to eat in Lace Market, or enjoy some drinks in Hockley. Fancy dress and cosplay are highly encouraged!
