British Open Wheelchair Tennis Championships 2022

Tuesday 12th – Sunday 17th July | LTA Nottingham Tennis Centre | From 9.30am | Free event

If you want more tennis after Wimbledon 2022, make sure to secure your free ticket to the British Open Wheelchair Tennis Championships in Nottingham this weekend. There is a world class line-up, with a chance to see Paralympic champions, and a very strong British team to cheer on.

You might even get to try wheelchair tennis yourself! Entry is free but you must book a ticket.

Patchings Festival of Art and Craft 2022

Enjoy a great day out at Patchings Festival, now in its 29th year, whether you are an artist, photographer, maker or you just would like to enjoy a nice summers day out.

T​​​​​he international four-day art event returns with a stunning show celebrating the very best in practical art and craft. It gives the chance to meet over 250 artists, photographers, craft makers and designers selling and demonstrating. You can also join hands-on-workshops, all set in 60 acres of beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside.

Pawsby Dog Show at Thoresby Park

Sunday 17th July | Thoresby Park | 10am – 4pm | Free entry

Pawsby Fun Dog Show is coming back to Thoresby this weekend! Whether you are competing or spectating, this event is open to all, and there is something for everyone to enjoy. There will be several classes throughout the day, including ‘Most Handsome Dog’, ‘Waggiest Tail’ and ‘Dog Most Like It's Owner’.

There will also be a large market, as well as duck race and demonstrations of Flyball.

Outdoor Cinema at Sherwood Forest

Saturday 16th July | Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre | 4pm - 6pm & 7pm - 10pm | Tickets: £7.50 - £10 for adults, with discounts available for RSPB Members

Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre hosts its first ever outdoor cinema event this Saturday! The first film, showing is Disney's 1973 feature-length animated telling of the legend of 'Robin Hood'. Then at 7pm, enjoy the rip-roaring 'A Knight's Tale', starring the late, great Heath Ledger. The films will be shown on a 20 square metre screen next to the visitor centre amphitheatre, with plenty of space to sit with family and friends on the green.

The cafe will be serving drinks and snacks and picnic hampers can be ordered, too.

Belvoir Castle Flower & Garden Show

Saturday 16th & Sunday 17th July | Belvoir Castle | 11am – 4pm | Tickets: £15

Inspiration for those with a love of gardening may be found from a mix of specialist plant growers, garden furniture, sculpture artists, show gardens, border displays, tools, and crafts, with plenty of opportunities to purchase something special for your own gardens.

Local Artists will perform on the music stage and a range of foods and refreshments will also be on offer. Meanwhile in the talk's area expert horticulturists will be on hand to answer your gardening questions
