For one day only, deep in Nottingham’s Lime Lane Woods, Reload Festival will be popping off with the hottest UKG artists and DJs for a crazy, up-for-it audience. Nottingham Castle Queen’s Baton Relay event
Sunday 10th July | Nottingham Castle | 12pm – 6pm | Free (ticket required)
The Queen’s Baton Relay for the Commonwealth Games (Birmingham 2022) will arrive in the city on Sunday 10 July. This is the 16th official Queen’s Baton Relay – a journey which brings together and celebrates communities across the Commonwealth during the build-up to the Games which commence on Thursday 28 July.
To celebrate the baton visiting Nottingham, there will be an event at Nottingham Castle with music, entertainment, and the baton itself being handed over. Tickets will allow people to visit the newly transformed Ducal Palace as well as the baton relay activities.
The Castle will be closed to usual visitors all day, but this free event is open to anybody living in the city, will be by ticket only, and limited to six per household.

Nottingham Chamber Music Festival 2022
Sunday 10th – Sunday 17th July | Various venues & times
The Nottingham Chamber Music Festival takes place this July in the Theatre Royal, Nottingham Contemporary, The Squire Performing Arts Centre, St. Peter’s Church, and St Mary’s in the Lace Market. Within these heritage venues of Nottingham, musicians and composers of both local and national renown will be welcomed to our city, where we can celebrate the joy that is live music!
This Sunday, you can catch the ‘Chasing Dots’ Family Concert. An interactive concert, it promises to be a unique opportunity to introduce children, or indeed all of us, to classical music in a fresh way.

On Saturday 9th July, 4NX presents Groovebox Festival 2022. One of Nottingham's biggest festivals, it returns to the spacious and idyllic surroundings of Nottingham Racecourse for a hefty all-day affair this summer.
You can expect 18 headliners including Idris Elba and Jax Jones, 3 arenas, a VIP area, and 10 hours of raving amongst 5,000 ravers!

From a youngsters' first Scottish dancing experience to old-timers out enjoying a burl, join this ceilidh (pronounced ‘kay-lea’) at Sawmills Village Hall for a unique and fun night out. Suitable for all ages and abilities, simply rock up and join in the dancing. The event features recorded music and Schuggie, who will be calling the dances and explaining what you need to do as you go along.
Join in jeans, full highland dress or anything in between and feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks.
