Tickets are now on sale for the visit of Chesterfield on Saturday 20th August at Meadow Lane Stadium. The Spireites are headed to into Nottingham for what promises to be an exciting evening clash. Remember that Under 7s go free, and Under 12s go for £1!

Universally recognised as the Oldest League Club in the world, Notts County F.C was formed in 1862 and was a founder member of the English Football League in 1888, making the club an important part of football history.

Japan Fest | Visit Nottinghamshire

Japan Fest Retford

For the first time in Retford, Otaku World LTD will be holding Japan Fest. An event in celebration of Japanese culture and anime at Retford Town Hall, this event is being meticulously crafted by passionate and motivated individuals to bring just a small taste of Japan to Retford.

Japan Fest is honoured to announce that the published Manga author and Jiman competition winner, Chie Kutusuwada, will be teaching aspiring artists a Manga for beginners' workshop plus a Manga seminar for those interested in Japanese style drawings.

Japan Fest Retford will also be hosting multiple activities on the day such as a Pokémon switch and YuGiOh tournament, Traditional Japanese arts and crafts, stalls, Japanese Tea and Coffee, Origami, Tea ceremonies and a beginners Japanese language workshop.

DIY Wine Tasting and Trail

Saturday 20th August | Hanwell Wine Estate | 2pm or 5pm | Tickets: £12.50

Book yourself a place at the Tasting Room tables for a relaxed wine tasting and vineyard trail at your own pace. This includes 6 sample wines from the Hanwell family vineyards and other vineyards from the Midlands or North. You are then invited to follow the vineyard trail at your leisure, which is less than 1km.

The wines are accompanied by wine tasting notes and the vineyard trail map with points of interest along the way.

Nottingham Carnival | Visit Nottinghamshire

Nottingham Carnival 2022

Sunday 21st August | Victoria Embankment | 12pm - 8pm | Free parade, with advance festival tickets from £4 and Under 12s go free

Nottingham Carnival returns for 2022! Come and experience the colourful costumes, music and cuisine showcasing the influence of Caribbean, Brazilian and African cultures on the City of Nottingham. 

As usual, the parade will be the dazzling centrepiece of Carnival, following a circular route around the Victoria Embankment and Meadows.  Starting at 1:00pm, watch for free along the Embankment and enjoy hundreds of colourful costumes dancing to the pulsating beats of soca music, steelband and samba drums along the 2.3km route.

Cider Fest | Visit Nottinghamshire

Sausage and Cider Festival at Wollaton Hall

Friday 19th August | Wollaton Park | 6pm – 11pm | Tickets from £24.95

The Sausage and Cider Festival comes to Nottingham for the very first time, to the iconic outdoor venue of Wollaton Hall and Deer Park.

So join them for a memorable experience, indulge in a variety of sausage and ciders flavours from around the world, whilst grooving away to live music and DJs or brave it in one of their eating competitions!

You can expect over 30 ciders, and 15 incredible sausages while enjoying the amazing live music stage with a combination of local acts, plus some of the UK’s best tribute acts.
