Baresca

About

Located on Byard Lane, on the edge of the Nottingham’s Creative Quarter and the Lace Market, baresca brings a touch of Barcelona’s excitement to the most vibrant part of the city. Serving freshly cooked tapas from dawn to yawn, baresca is a truly beautiful place to eat, inspired by the sounds and sight, hustle and bustle, flavours and tastes of Barca’s La Boqueria Market.

Breakfast

Offering value, excitement, quality and value, baresca kicks off daily from 10 (9 on Saturdays) and serves the freshest flatbreads, smoothies, Catalan breakfasts, jamon, smoothies and more amid re-assuring wafts of their in-house blended barista coffees. You can even embrace your inner Mediterranean and enjoy the start to the day with a glass of fizz.

Menu del dia

Baresca offers what must be the best value food in the city. Their menú del día mirrors the Spanish tradition of offering town locals and visitors fantastic quality and value. Just 10,95 for flatbread & dips, two tapas and a side. Finish with an espresso, americano or any tea (with a sweet treat on them!) for just 1,50pp. Menu del dia is served daily from noon. Menu del dia dishes include pork bocatas, meatballs, fillet of hake, squid, smoked corn empanadillas and more…their Menu Del Dia is available Sunday-Thursday 12pm-6.45pm.

Main menu

Why not kick off with a few nibbles from their Para Picar then try authentic padron peppers, halloumi fritters or butternut squash croquettes from the baresca bar menu; dive into boards packed full of Spanish meats and cheeses or one of 12 flatbreads – inspired by the Catalan ‘coca’ and freshly stone-baked to order. baresca’s main tapas offering includes some show-stopping favourites: Moroccan lamb stew, chargrilled fillet of lamb, seared king scallops, mushroom risoni, tostado, gnocchi – almost anything and everything from Spain and her near neighbours.

Drinks

baresca drinks offering has all bases covered: the best sangria has been concocted and wonderful new gins flown in from Spain; there’s organic craft beers and ciders; a unique cocktail offering; a head-spinning array of sherries and spirits, cavas and champagnes alongside a wine list hand-picked by baresca owners.

Cellar9

Subterranean Cellar9 evokes the best of Barcelona’s hidden bodegas. On certain dates throughout the month, Cellar9 serves the best live artists from around the city.  Why not book a booth for you and your friends (prices start at just 10,00 min of 4 guests).

Kids at baresca

baresca is the perfect spot for kids, adventurers and adventurous. The escabeanies menu is full of nutritious, tasty dishes and great value. Kids can try the buttermilk fried chicken, meatballs, escabeanie burgers and, of course, chocolate brownie sundae for just 5,95.
