Fox and Crown

About

The Fox and Crown has been a Castle Rock pub for two decades. Situated in Newark where we opened our very first pub – the Old King’s Arms – in the seventies, it holds a special place in our hearts.

Once a traditional real ale pub in the heart of historic Newark, the Fox and Crown is now a hub of beery heaven: bringing the pub and the craft bottle shop together. Now trading as ‘The Fox and Crown Pub and Bottle Shop’, the Fox and Crown offers a range of up to ten cask ales, four lagers, three craft ales and 70+ bottles and cans, with discounts on take-away beers.

The craft and world beer selection – as part of the Discover World Beers initiative – is always changing. Our aim at the Fox and Crown is to cover all bases, offering the beer drinker everything from Gooseberry sours to imperial stouts. If you’re not a drinker, our soft drinks selection offers plenty of choice, and our coffee is locally sourced from Stewarts Coffee in Nottingham.

If you’re a visitor of Newark, this thriving town holds market days on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and you can often find us there giving world and craft beer its deserving place on the local stage.

We’re also open from 10.30am every day, to accommodate visitors and locals alike. If you’re catching a show at the Palace Theatre, we’re only a two-minute walk away, and if you’re brushing up on your history at the Newark Civil War Museum, you’ll find us on the Civil War Ale Trail.

We look forward to welcoming you to The Fox and Crown Pub & Bottle Shop!
