RYE Cafe & Bar

About

Welcome to Rye!

When Belle & Jerome closed its doors a month ago many people thought that a much-loved fixture on the High Road was gone for good. Well the good news is that whilst that particular incarnation has gone forever the venue itself has now been reborn as ‘Rye Café & Bar’. Co-owner Tom Vincent explains the reason for the change “we felt the whole concept and place had got a bit dated and we wanted something that reflected newer tastes and styles and give people somewhere to go for a bite to eat or a drink in the evening”

Still serving their legendary breakfast from 8am, Rye’s new menu features a mouth-watering array of sandwiches, light bites, burgers, bar snacks, main meals, Sunday lunch and even some puddings. Tom and Rob are also the guys behind 200 Degrees Coffee and this will figure heavily in the new venue along with plus a range of whole leaf teas and homemade cakes.

Rye will also be the first Beeston venue to stock a range of craft beers from around the UK on draught including Camden Hells, Adnams Mosaic Pale Ale and Blackshore Stout. There’s also a menu of bottles and cans from Nottingham and further afield including Californian beers. The wine list has been paired down and cocktails still will a favourite, especially at £5 each on a Friday evening. Food themed nights, with set menu offers throughout the week, will keep peoples’ pockets a bit fuller for the weekend which is rounded off the weekend nicely with some laid back acoustic tunes every Sunday from 7pm

Tom adds ‘We’ve used the same creative team from 200 Degrees to do the interior and design, the guy that heads it up has a lot of experience with bars in Nottingham and West Bridgford, we really wanted to give people something special to come to.

Rye is open from Thursday 7th May 2015, 8am til late from with a 1am licence at weekends; book one of their fabulous new booths, grab a table or find a space at the bar.
