o    4;30pm – 7pm – Live Entertainment

The Christmas market opens at 3:30pm, offering tasty festive food, sweets, donuts, gifts, and community stalls. Stop by Scargill Walk for face painting and extra Christmas sparkle!

Santa will be in his grotto at the D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum Courtyard from 3:30pm–6:30pm, with a sensory-friendly hour from 3:30pm–4:30pm.

From 4:30pm, enjoy live entertainment in Eastwood Square and Scargill Walk, including the playful Victorian act Fagin and Dodge and festive tunes played by the illuminated musical act, Snow Patrol. There will be a festive nativity trail through town shops, and carol singing led by Eastwood & District Churches Together. Sizing up a Christmas crowd is a big job, so Santa has sent out his biggest helpers Horace and Boris, the Bouncing Elves, to take notes! Don’t miss the high-energy Rock n Roll performance by 3-piece band Good Times Roll and some festive tunes by the Springbank Academy.

At 5:30pm, the Mayor of Broxtowe and Eastwood Town Mayor will switch on the Christmas lights at Eastwood Square, followed by dazzling fireworks at 6:30pm, best viewed from Nottingham Road near Eastwood Library. Remember, the live stage performance will continue until 7pm this year!

Roads and car parks will be closed at various times, including Nottingham Road 4:00pm–8:00pm and Scargill Walk Car Park 12pm–8pm.
