Free event, donations welcome
Join Nottingham Contemporary on Light Night 2026 to explore our new spring season exhibitions, Shahana Rajani: Lines that World a River لکیروں سے دریا تھامنا and Dala Nasser: Cemetery of Martyrs.
Through moving image installations, Shahana Rajani's exhibition centres practices and lineages of drawing and painting through which coastal communities in Pakistan remain connected to sacred ecologies of rivers and sea amidst the violence and erasure of infrastructure and the climate emergency.
Dala Nasser's exhibition features a large-scale sculptural and sonic installation that invites audiences into a collective space of mourning and remembrance, honouring seminal artists, writers, poets, filmmakers, historians and journalists who fought for independence and freedom in times of political dominance and occupation.
Meanwhile in the Space, the Tom Dale Company will be presenting More Than Human, a new immersive media installation that combines dance, algorithmic visuals, and electronic sound across dual screens to create a layered, sensory environment. Advance booking required.
And Blend Coffee Shop will be open for hot & cold drinks, with their special guest 'Mr Coffee Bean', one of Light Night 2026's Light it up Duckies.
