Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 January 2026 I Saturday: 11am-3pm, Sunday 12pm - 2.30pm
RSPB Sherwood Forest
Price: Free (parking and craft activity charges apply)
The Whitby Krampus Run is returning this January and bringing these intriguing mythological creatures from medieval European folklore to life. Can Robin Hood and The Sheriff work together and make sure the wassailing and blessing of the forest for the new year goes ahead?
Make a lantern for Saturday's lantern parade, which will set off from the Major Oak as the sun sets, birdseed shaker to ward off those pesky Krampus!
Then, on Sunday, bring pots and pans and dress up - ideally with a striking piece of headgear - for a loud parade back to the Major Oak headed by the Sheriff and Robin to send those Krampus packing for another year.
There will also be entertainment including performances by Rattlejag Morris and the Lady Bay Revellers dance troupes.
