307 reviewsThis is a charming 18 century coaching inn, family owned and run. It is located in the heart of Robin Hood country, two minutes from Sherwood Forest. The hotel has 13 very well appointed bedrooms, all with en suite facilities. Larger rooms are available for three people and families. Facilities for disabled people are provided.
There is also a cosy, beamed bar boasting an open fire and offering five guest ales at any one time to accompany the bar menu. Also a beautiful restaurant - once a stable offers fine dining.
Awarded "TripAdvisor: Travellers' Choice 2021", ” best venue in 2005 ” and “best service 2011 ” by local businesses; the local CAMRA “Pub of the Year” 2010,2011 and 2013 ; “Pub of the Season” for summer 2011, winter 2012 and spring 2015; "David Brett Award" for Mild, 2016; Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence for 2013, 2014 and 2015.
