Nottingham is a World-famous City famed for being the home of the legend of Robin Hood, the greatest outlaw who ever lived but it is also connected with many other famous people from sport, industry and literature such as the “mad, bad and dangerous to know” Lord Byron our greatest Romantic Poet and the controversial author of “Lady Chatterley’s Lover”, DH Lawrence.

Start your City of Nottingham Sightseeing Guided Walking Tour next to “Leo the Lion” at the front of the Council House in Old Market Square (just look out for Bryn, our local Official City of Nottingham Walking Tour Guide).

You will learn about the history of Nottingham while enjoying the sights, sounds and surprising stories of the quaint, narrow streets of Nottingham’s Bohemian Quarter of Hockley, then on to the beautiful Victorian Buildings of the Lace Market to find out why 19th Century lace manufacture was so important to the City. You will see the beautiful 13th Century Medieval St. Mary the Virgin Gothic Church and learn about crime and punishment in the 18th Century.

The guided walking tour continues at Nottingham’s Royal Castle where you will hear some gruesome stories and learn of its demise. Discover the truth behind the legend of England’s greatest outlaw, Robin Hood and finally hear some of the strange local tales connected with the Oldest Pub in the Country, our very own Trip to Jerusalem where you can enjoy a well-earned drink!   

Adults £13, Concessions (with ID) £12, Children Under 14 £8, you can either book in advance by contacting “Hello Notts Tours” above or just turn up on the day! (each Tour is approximately 90 minutes long of easy walking).
