Relax. Play. Enjoy.
Fun, fun, fun here at Ludorati - one of the world’s premier boardgame cafes which also boasts a unique open general café area. Situated very close to Nottingham Castle and open seven days a week (10:00 – 23:00), Ludorati is an unrivalled entertainment destination and thriving social hub, offering extensive board game selection and its own escape room challenges (‘EscapeDrome’), as well as hosting a Robin Hood themed ‘pop-up boardgame museum‘, during weekdays.
Ludorati’s game library is one of the largest – containing over 850 board/card games. Ludorati hosts parties and tours as well as corporate client events. People appreciate the ‘Ludorati Experience’ enhanced by our excellent staff.
Prospective visitors can get a good insight from Ludorati's daily updated Facebook page.
Ludorati is a high quality coffee house and wine bar hospitality environment. The Café uses the very best La Marzocco machines serving specialist coffee supplied by local roaster ‘Outpost’; whilst the bar offers a great selection of beer (who can resist ‘Robin Hood’, ‘Maid Marian’, ‘Friar Tuck’, ‘Little John’ and ‘The Sheriff’ labels?). The selection of wine includes Ludorati’s very own label! There’s also a great selection of food including paninis, pizza, rolls, sandwiches etc alongside a gorgeous choice of cakes and pastries.
Boardgaming area: Visitors/members can play games from the extensive library, which contains a range of traditional games like Monopoly and Cluedo through to the modern ‘eurogames’ and latest releases. Visitors can use our very own in-store ‘GamesWizard’ to help with selection. Customers/members can take advantage of the discounted per person charge of £6.50 for 4 hours or more, or can stay less at £1.99 per hour per person. We can accommodate couples through to large groups of 20+ (subject to group booking), including schools. Corporates also welcome.
EscapeDrome™: Visitors/members can also enjoy Ludorati’s unique escape room challenge – a little different to the traditional escape room experience. Whether it’s escaping from an alien infested space ship or ‘strange’ wonderland or surviving earthquakes, zombies, creepy clowns or rogue machines, it’s all here. For those budding detectives, there’s plenty of choice in helping Holmes and Watson solve a range of baffling cases including those of Jack the Ripper. Something for everyone. This is no ordinary ‘Escape Room’. Sessions are available all week from 10:00am to 9:15pm with ten different time slots each day. Priced from £4.99 upwards per person per game - fantastic value for those seeking the next level in ‘room entertainment’ as well as corporate teambuilding/fun.
General Café area: Customers are served in comfortable surroundings and can also indulge in playing a selection of ‘The classics’ like Chess, Scrabble, Go and as well as Connect 4, Battleships etc, if they so wish.
Robin Hood Museum: Ludorati is the only boardgame Café in the world that hosts a ‘pop-up boardgame museum’. During weekdays, visitors can peruse the various exhibits (over 25 games) and presentations plus various literature based on Robin Hood and Sherwood Forest. Entry prices are £2.50 per person but this is reduced to £1 per person if boardgaming for 3 hours or more. Ludorati has a separate Museum Guide that provides an excellent commentary to the exhibits as well as game lists plus an outstanding article on the history of boardgames. Hosted group bookings available.
Call +44 (0)115 959 6998 or e-mail the team with any requests – the Ludorati crew will be pleased to accommodate you.
