With a brewhouse in the old stable block of the Trent Navigation Inn, Navigation Brewery first mashed in back in April 2012. The inn dates back to around 1842 and was used by people & horses transporting coal, iron & foodstuffs on the canal network.
The brewery team deploy traditional methods in a modern environment to produce their award winning range. The brewery was designed and fabricated in the UK. They now produce a wide range of seasonal cask and keg beers, bottles and cans.
Navigation Brewery use the best quality ingredients – fresh full cone hops in the copper, the fines quality British Maris Otter as a base malt and their own fruit driven strain of yeast. They customise their water depending on the style of beer they wish to produce. All beers are brewed & conditioned on-site and casks are fined to order to ensure maximum freshness.
As well as offering keg, cask and contract brewing to the industry, brewery tours are available to the public who want to get an insight into the brewing process – and have a taste of course!
