Created by Hand

Due to coronavirus, Created by Hand has cancelled all workshops until further notice. For more information please click on the website button on the top of the page.

Created By Hand is an independent gift shop, housed in the old blacksmiths room, in the stables area at the prestigious Strelley Hall.

It’s owner, fused glass artist David Humphreys has worked hard to bring together fine art and quality handmade gifts from over 40 of the best designer makers from Nottingham and the surrounding areas

You'll find an ever changing mixture of eclectic and unusual pieces, beautiful ceramics, a wide range of jewellery, wonderful artwork, high quality textiles and mixed media gifts as well as, of course fused glass, handmade by the owner.
Some gifts reflect the local dialect and historical landmarks of Nottingham while others are just beautiful to own.

Because they specialise in handmade, they can offer a wide range of personalisation ideas or create something bespoke to meet your requirement

They also run a wide range of Craft Workshops with several contributors to the shop personally teaching their skills and knowledge gained over many years hand-on experience.

In the Stables Area at Strelley Hall you can also find the Mulberry Tree Cafe and with the beautiful Nottingham countryside surrounding the Hall it makes the location perfect for walking and cycling, finishing off with some lunch and retail therapy in the shop.

So if you are looking for the unique and the ideal bespoke gift for that special someone, or if you simply want to treat yourself, a visit is a must.  Have a look at the local handiwork and chat with Dave and the team to see if they might be able to help you take up a new hobby.

If you're unable to pop into the shop, then you can find everything you need on their website.

If you're looking for a bespoke item, or personalisation on any of their products, you can get in touch via the contacts page or call in and see them.
