The National Videogame Arcade

About

Play all day at the National Video Game Arcade!

At the National Videogame Arcade you can experience 3 floors of fully interactive games, events and activities designed to inspire, educate and entertain you all day!

Play their collection of Arcade Machines such as Donkey Kong, Tetris, Time Crisis and many more – they’re all on Free Play so no coins needed!

Take command of Mission Control for the ultimate creative space battle in which you control every aspect of the game! Draw your own alien to add to the mix, change the animation or change the soundtrack – all your changes happen real-time whilst the game is being played. Will you be the controller or gamer?

Get the chance to play games before they’re released in our Early Access Greenhouse and send feedback to the developers to help shape the game. The selection of games in here changes regularly, so check back often for some real exclusives!

Take part in a Minecraft workshop to develop your skills in the gaming phenomenon that has taken the world by storm, or you can play brand new games on PC, WiiU, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 – the ultimate ‘try before you buy’!

Find out about how videogames have changed with our History of Videogames in 100 objects. Get hands-on with gaming history and play on retro games consoles like the Commodore 64 to Nintendo 64.

The Game Inspector gallery takes your favourite games to pieces so that you can see how they work. Learn about design in Super Mario Bros, health in LEGO Star Wars or how Physics is used in Gang Beats.
