About

Newark Air Museum 1940s Weekend
Saturday 11 & Sunday 12 August 2018 | 10am - 4pm

Throughout the two days there will be a host of 1940s related activities and entertainment taking place around the museum site, including alongside it's famous Anderson Shelter and Dig for Victory Garden.

-        1940s Military and civilian vehicles

-        Model displays of aircraft, ships & vehicles from the period

-        Homefront re-enactment groups

-        Cockpits/Aircraft/Aircraft Interior Displays/Engines from the WWII period

-        WWII veterans

Displays over the weekend will feature vintage vehicles (cars and military vehicles) local history groups, a variety of themed wartime trade stalls, plus regular performances by Fiona Harrison, “A Voice in a Million”.

The museum wants to encourage as many visitors as possible to enter into the ‘1940s spirit’ and to attend in period costume. Such participants will be admitted for free if they register in advance and at a discounted admission rate if they just turn up on the day.

Full details about these and other museum activities can be found on the news & event pages of the website, which are regularly updated www.newarkairmuseum.org

Normal admission rates apply. Adults £9.00, Over 60s £8.00, Children £4.50 and Family ticket [2 adults & 3 children] £24.00.
