Motorpoint Arena Nottingham
Thursday 5 November 2020
Jimmy Somerville, Belinda Carlisle, Howard Jones, Nik Kershaw and Carol Decker along with host Gary Davies and the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra will be performing sounds of all your 80s favourites live in arenas next year as part of 80s Classical, and they'll be stopping off at the Motorpoint Arena Nottingham.
This prestigious event follows a very special show as part of BBC Radio 2 Friday Night is Music Night featuring some of the line-up. Imagine the most iconic songs of the 80s reworked into breath-taking new orchestral versions and performed live by the original artists. Expect hits such as 'Don't Leave Me This Way, 'Heaven Is a Place on Earth', 'Things Can Only Get Better', 'China In your Hand', 'I Won't Let the Sun Go Down on Me' and many more!
Hosted by Radio 2's Gary Davies, this is an event to take you back to the future, when the best of eighties showed the way for a new generation. Gary said: "One of the most incredible nights I have ever experienced was hosting this special concert when we recorded it for BBC Radio 2, It's an emotional spine-tingling experience and I can't wait to bring it on tour"
80s Classical will be bringing the most magical night full of joy, drama and simply the best music in the world.
