If you enjoy drawing and creating characters then this one-week course at NTU is for you.
The week will provide you with an introduction to animation starting with some practical activities like flip books and zoetropes, then moving onto more traditional methods such as hand drawn and digital animation.
During the week, you will be using Adobe Animate CC and Wacom Cintiq tablets.
You can have little or no previous animation knowledge to attend and still achieve great results.
You might be studying art or design at school and want to explore your creativity further.
You might be new to the subject and just want to have a great week and meet others who share your interest.
So long as you're interested in animation and keen to share ideas you'll be very welcome.
On this course you will:
- learn the fundamentals of animation including timing and spacing
- create optical illusion toys and flip books
- create hand drawn and digital animation
- study the movement of balloons and other objects
- create character turnarounds
- animate to a piece of music.
What will you gain?
By the end of the course you'll have a good understanding of basic animation techniques and knowledge of the Adobe software and its capabilities. You'll have produced a series of short projects that demonstrate your new skills in animation and making your own animated characters.
