Discover how to preserve your favourite seasonal ingredients with this hands-on course.
Spend a day learning how to preserve autumn's harvest as you discover the science and the magical transforming abilities of salt, sugar, vinegar and alcohol.
Using seasonal ingredients learn how simple it is to create delicious preserves that can be stored in the larder, to be enjoyed throughout the winter.
On this course you will make:
-Spiced pumpkin and carrot pickle
-Grannie's apple chutney
-Ginger cordial
-Three fruit marmalade
-Plum and star anise jam
-Japanese pickled vegetables
-This course includes light refreshments and an informal lunch.
All ingredients, equipment and recipes are provided by the school.
