Immerse yourself in the sublime sounds of the Barbican Quartet as they perform music by Mozart, Ligeti and Brahms for a summer evening. The Barbican Quartet are winners of the 2019 Joseph Joachim International Chamber Music Competition, and they have appeared in festivals such as Peasmarsh Festival, Quatuors à Bordeaux, Montreal Chamber Music Festival, IMS Prussia Cove and Aldeburgh. Their performances have been broadcast on NPO Radio 4 and BBC Radio.

This concert is with interval and will end at approximately 9:15pm

  • W.A. Mozart String Quartet in D Major, KV 575 “Prussian”
  • Gyorgy Ligeti String Quartet No. 1 “Metamorphoses nocturnes”
  • Johannes Brahms String Quartet no. 2 in A major
