About

Boat & Horses
Various Fridays throughout 2022 | 8pm - 11pm
Admission: £5 per person, under 16s go free

In-person ceilidh dancing to recorded music with a caller to help you through the dances.
You don't need to be a member of the Ceilidh club to join in the fun!
Free admission, no need to book or buy in advance. Just rock up and join in the dancing.

Ceilidhs (pronounced "Kay-leas") are enjoyed by all ages – from youngsters' first Scottish dancing experience to old-timers out enjoying a burl.
People come dressed in jeans, full highland dress – and everything in between, just wear something comfortable to dance in. You don't need to know what to do –Schuggie (from @Schuggies-Ceilidhs) will be calling the dances and explaining what you need to do as you go along. There are lots of friendly folks to give you a hand and get everyone up dancing.

This event will be as covid safe as we can make it, so if you're coming along:

- Double jabbed ideally but not essential

- Ceilidhs are a contact "sport" so, you will be dancing in close proximity to others.

- If you are not yet comfortable with that, this probably isn't the event for you.
