Santa Claus is coming to Beeston Town with the Christmas Lights Switch On!

The festivities start early this year on Saturday 3th December with the Christmas market from 12noon; whether you are only just starting your Christmas shopping or need to find those last little bits, you might just find an inspirational gift for your family and friends amid an array of festive and charity stalls. You can also meet Santa in his magical Grotto inside Beeston Library from 2.30pm to 5pm, located just off Foster Avenue!

The main event activity will take place on Beeston Square, Styring Street and Foster Avenue car park from 4.30pm-6.30pm. As with last year there will an array of rides at the fun fair alongside the high road - look out for the festive street theatre acts as well as a choir on the night!

Prior to the switch on music from the highly talented Frandells 4 piece band will open proceedings at 4.30pm with a range of hit music by its four talented artists Fran, Juno, Drew and Darren! (For more information visit thefrandells.co.uk/).

The lights switch on ceremony will take place on Beeston Square at 5.30pm whereby the Mayor of Broxtowe will lead the countdown! Then Adams and Co's 4 piece band will be entertaining crowds after the switch on ceremony at 5.30pm. At 6.30pm, the fantastic firework finale can be best viewed from Foster Avenue.

Parking in the town centre is limited, so please use public transport where possible. The Beeston Tram and Bus interchange will bring you right into the heart of Beeston and is just a short walk from the Square.
