About

Squire Performing Arts Centre
Friday 27 March 2020 | 7.30pm - 9.30pm

Tickets £7 (Concessions £5)

Jabez Wolffe, Channel swimmer, variety artist and international star received obituaries in papers as wide ranging as the New York Time, The Jewish Chronicle and the Western Daily Press.
For more than 30 years his achievements were celebrated across the world, but following his death he was soon forgotten.
Written and performed by Wolffe's 3rd cousin once removed (work that out) this show is part (auto)biography and wholly a celebration of a peculiarly British form of sporting hero.

Channeling Jabez has been acclaimed as "cleverly staged and strangely attractive" by Theatre Mates and a "sincere and loving tribute to a man of remarkable tenacity" by the Edinburgh Guide.

Before Eddie the Eagle… there was Jabez Wolffe!
An entertainment in 21 attempts.

Written, produced and performed by Giles Croft - well known for his 18 year tenure as Artistic Director at Nottingham Playhouse.
