Children's Workshops with Nottingham Playhouse

£5.50 (inc. booking fee)
Nottingham Playhouse, Nottingham City Council and the Spiegeltent have teamed up to offer this series of fun, accessible and exciting drama and dance workshops in the unique atmosphere of the Spiegel Tent. Come along and play, learn, dance and make friends in sessions led by expert theatre practitioners. No previous experience is necessary – everyone is very welcome to come along and join in.
Specific sessions
Tuesday 7 May - 4.30 - 5.15pm
‘Into The Jungle’ Music and movement ages 4-8
Spend 45 minutes leaping, running, rolling and roaring like all the animals of the jungle! Expect lots of games, silliness and fun as we explore jungle rhythms and creatures together.
Tuesday 7 May - 5.30 - 6.15pm
‘The Rhythm of the Jungle’ Music and dance ages 8-12
This fantastic session, led by a professional dancer is a chance to learn a new dance together, using fabulous jungle music. Come along, wearing suitable clothing and show us your brilliant moves!
Sunday 12 May - 2.15 - 3pm
‘Dance Like the Stars’ Dance ages 8-12
Get ready to bop, floss, shuffle, slide and dab like a pop star in this energetic session led by a professional dancer.
Monday 13 May - 4.30 - 5.15pm
‘Exploring Our World’ Character and storytelling ages 4-8
Led by a professional theatre director, this fun and silly session is full of games and activities to explore making characters and stories through theatre and drama.
Monday 13 May - 5.30 - 6.15pm
‘Animals and Creatures’ Drama Games ages 4-8
Games, games and more games. Taking the theme of animals, this fun session is a chance for the children to get to know one another by having fun, playing together and exploring drama in a supportive environment.
