The Nottingham Ceilidh Club comes to the city centre with the internationally famous Freds Folk Ceilidh band.
Ceilidhs (pronounced "Kay-lay"), are enjoyed by all ages – from youngsters' first Scottish dancing experience to old-timers out enjoying a burl.
If you have been to one of these before, you'll know how popular these are city centre ceilidhs are.
You don't need to be a member of the Ceilidh Club to join in the fun, and all the dances will be called so you don't need to know what to do. The moves will be explained as you go along and there are lots of friendly folk to give you a hand and get everyone up dancing.
- The venue has free parking.
- This is a family friendly event so kids are welcome to dance as well.
- Wear something comfortable to dance in. People come dressed in jeans, full highland dress – and everything in between.
