About

Saturday 17 August - Sunday 18 August 2019 I 10am - 5pm
Newark Air Museum
Tickets: Normal museum admission rates apply.
A small additional charge will be made for each aircraft visited (proceeds towards the museum’s various aircraft restoration projects).

Copter-Fest is set to launch at Newark Air Museum this August. During the festival the museum will celebrate the helicopters in its collection and give visitors the chance to take a look inside them, something that is not always possible.

On Sunday 18th August the event will coincide with the 2019 International Helicopter Day, which is celebrated around the world.

Over the years the museum has built up a good selection of helicopters in its collection; including a Puma, Chinook and Lynx added to the air museum's collection in 2018. These rotary exhibits now represent around 10% of the museum’s overall collection.

Copter-Fest 2019 is open to the general public and museum trustees, volunteers and staff have put together a range of visiting special displays and activities. In addition to the helicopter viewing opportunities a number of museum aircraft will be open for people to visit.
