Craig Ogden is fast becoming an essential fixture in Nottingham concert-goers' diaries, his spellbinding performances delivered with seemingly effortless virtuosity. For this performance he performs classic works for solo classical guitar before being joined by fellow members of the London Tango Quintet for an extended set that includes music by the legendary Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla and stunning instrumental solos featuring music by Scarlatti, Marcello and Arvo Pärt.
Craig's musical collaborators are a foursome of rare distinction. Accordionist Miloš Milivojević was described by The Times as 'a hurricane of musical invention', whilst pianist/composer Richard Pryce regularly tours as a jazz musician, harpsichordist and director of internationally renowned ensembles. Double bassist, David Gordan, has worked with countless great artists, from Jamie Cullum to Shirley Bassey, and the quartet's founder, violinist David Juritz, is a former leader of the London Mozart Players who made headlines busking around the world for charity, his 60,000 mile trip taking in 50 cities on six continents.
