Dancing on Ice

About

Tuesday 8 - Thursday 10 April 2014

Dancing on Ice Final Live Tour 2014 is delighted to announce that Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle, Broadway and West End theatre star Bonnie Langford, actress Suzanne Shaw and singer Gareth Gates will complete the celebrity line up. They will join singer and West End star Ray Quinn, former England Rugby Captain Kyran Bracken, Coronation Street’s Hayley Tamaddon and comedian Joe Pasquale on this final tour.

The tour, which visit Capital FM Arena Nottingham between Tuesday 8 and Thursday 10 April 2014, stars Nottingham's skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.  Arena audiences will get to see Torvill & Dean perform exclusive mesmerising skating routines, created for the live tour.

Olympic gold medal winner Robin Cousins will head the panel of rink-side judges, alongside former professional skaters Karen Barber and Nicky Slater. They will be on hand to give their expert feedback and all important scores to the celebrities and their skating partners.

Fans will see their favourite skating couples competing live for the judges’ votes and the audience can use their mobile phones to text vote for their favourite celebrity to win.  Audience votes will then be added to the scores from the judges to decide the overall celebrity winner. The winning couple will then take to the ice for a magical finale performance of Bolero.

On announcing her place on the tour, Britain’s greatest ever female gymnast Beth Tweddle said; "I'm excited to be joining the tour, having had such a wonderful experience on the TV show. I absolutely love skating and want to continue for as long as I can. Having competed as a gymnast for over 12 years, learning to skate has been a challenge, but one that I've loved and I can't wait to perform some of my favourite routines in front of the live audiences across the country!"

Broadway and West End theatre star Bonnie Langford commented; “Having been in the first series of Dancing on Ice, nine years ago and the final series, I'm thrilled to be going back on tour with Torvill & Dean. I had a ball last time round, so I’m delighted to be able to relive the magic of the TV show in front of arena audiences across the country.”

Actress Suzanne Shaw said; "Winning Dancing on Ice in 2008 was such an amazing moment and I really enjoyed the tour afterwards. Being part of the final tour, with the brilliant Matt Evers, will be the perfect way to celebrate what has been one of the best experiences of my life – I can’t wait to return!”

Multimillion selling singer and now one part of the ITV2 Big Reunion super group 5th Story, Gareth Gates said: “I’ve loved this series, so I’m glad I don’t have to hang up my skates just yet – can’t wait to get on the tour and skate all around the country! We’re going to have a lot of fun.”

West End star and singer Ray Quinn said; "I've had some amazing highlights in my career and winning Dancing on Ice in 2009 is certainly one of the best!  I am thrilled to be able to continue my time on the ice and be part of the tour. I'm buzzing to be able to put on a great show for fantastic audiences around the country"

Coronation Street actress Hayley Tamaddon commented; “Dancing on Ice is a huge part of my life and to be on the final tour is a real honour. Having performed on the tour before, I know just how great the arena shows are and the fantastic support you get from the audiences across the UK - see you on the road!”

Former England Rugby captain Kryan Bracken added; "I've had the pleasure to appear on the Dancing on Ice tour several times over the years, both as a contestant and a judge, so I'm delighted to be back.  We've got some great routines lined up for the arena audiences and I can't wait to perform for them again."

Comedian Joe Pasquale agreed; “Wow, I'm getting ready to get my skates on again!  Dancing on Ice is a great show and I'm really looking forward to joining Torvill & Dean and the other celebs on the UK tour."
