Hanwell Wine Estate
Friday 15 May 2020 | 10am - 4pm
£85
Join Hanwell Wine Estate at this fabulous beginners enamelling workshop. What better way to spend a day than learning a new craft & making something handmade, all in the beautiful surroundings of Nottinghamshire’s finest vineyards.
You can make something beautiful for your home or as a gift for a friend or family member, a personal gift handcrafted by you.
The talented tutor, Katie, will guide you through the process step by step and introduce you to enamelling on copper. Following demonstrations you will learn how to prepare the material, remove fire scale*, apply the enamel powders and work with glass chips, beads, roods and millefiori. When you have finished you will have created two pieces, these may include enamelled pendants, a pair of earrings or plaques. All ready to wear and show off the very same day.
All materials will be provided for you and your day includes a two-course homemade lunch served with a glass of local wine.
For safety they will only be using unleaded powdered enamels.
