Mariam & Waleria is a reflective month-long exhibition from painter and printmaker Pamela Clarkson re-visiting the artist’s memories from a trip to Mali in 1989. Exploring themes of friendship, identity and belonging this collection of lithographic prints incorporates quirky media such as bicycle rubber, vinyl and engraved plexiglass.

Alongside these works are prints from Clarkson’s other residencies in Romania and the Netherlands as well as a selection of prints created closer to home in Loughborough at the artist’s own studio or nearby at Leicester Print Workshop.

Pamela Clarkson was the winner of the Midlands Printmakers Open Exhibition held at the Malt Cross in November 2016.
