Tuesday 20 February from 11am - 4pm | Decorate a Viking Cup

Decorate your own Viking cup to take home. Suitable for all - FREE - just drop in.

Wednesday 21 February from 10am - 4pm | Zine Workshop with Dizzy Ink

Design, print and make your own zine, taking inspiration from the Viking: Rediscover the Legend exhibition. Learn about Dizzy Ink's special printing process, Risograph, and create your own mini publication to take home. All material supplied. For ages 12-18. £20

Wednesday 21 February | Viking Inspired Drumming and Percussion Workshop

A special Viking inspired percussion workshop delivered by Mark Evans. For 5-7 years from 11am - 12.30pm and for 8-10 years from 2-3.30pm. £8

Wednesday 21 February from 11am - 4pm | Dragon Masks and Bookmarks

Make your own dragon mask or dragon bookmark to take home. FREE. Suitable for all ages just drop in.

Thursday 22 February from 10am - 12.30pm | Make a Viking Shield

Create your own wooden shield with runes and knotwork design, Have a close look at the Viking: Rediscover the Legend exhibition for ideas and then be guided through the creative process, resulting in a personal shield to take home. With artist Shamila Chady. For ages 7-11. £8

Thursday 22 February from 11am - 12.30pm & 2-3.30pm | Viking Kitchen

Join our livinh history encampment; a most enjoyable, entertaining way to experience history first hand. Meet our Viking woman as she goes about her business, dramatically telling stories. Suitable for 6+. £8 (accompanying adult FREE)

Thursday 22 February from 1.30 - 4pm | Pattern Magpies

Like magpies, be drawn to the dramatic patterns on display in the Viking: Rediscover the Legend exhibition: intertwined knotwork, twisted cables, stylised snake and bird motifs. With sketchbook in hand, collect patterns in the gallery to transform into a personalised contemporary work of art in the studio. Woirshop led by artist Elaine Winter. For ages 12-18. £8

Friday 23 February at 11.30am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm & 3.30pm | Viking Storytelling

Immerse yourself in the drama of Viking tales with storyteller Paul Goldsmith as he conjures up vivid images from Norse myths and legends. Suitable for all. £5 per child (accompanying adult FREE).

Saturday 24 February at 12noon | Beowuff Writing Workshop with Robin Price

Write your own Viking saga. Follows on from Beowuff and the Dragon Raiders. Suitable for 7-12 years. £3.
