FREE TOURS DELIVERED BY DIRECTOR OF THE D.H. LAWRENCE RESEARCH CENTRE
These specially-themed guided tours of the D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum will interpret items from the fascinating display rooms to offer an intimate and detailed glimpse into Lawrence’s early life in Eastwood.
The D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum is the working class childhood home to the controversial author D.H. Lawrence, who wrote the infamous Lady Chatterley’s Lover. Open to the public as a museum, you can walk through the family home and experience what life was like in a mining family during the 19th Century.
It will be a tour with an exciting twist, as they will be led by Dr Andrew Harrison, Director of the D. H. Lawrence Research Centre at the University of Nottingham, in collaboration with Museum staff.
Admission by guided tour only (approx. 1 hour and 15 minutes). Admission times available begin at 10:00am, 11.15am or 1.15pm.
