This one-day workshop will help develop your understanding of free writing, addressing its many benefits and assessing how it can be useful for one's well-being and creativity.
The day will also examine its usefulness in contributing to current creative projects and overcoming challenges.
The course is aimed at people who are interested in developing their writing skills, overcoming writers' block and also those who are wanting to use writing to help improve their overall wellbeing.
The course will feature both a theoretical understanding of what free writing is as well as provide a range of interactive and independent tasks, with support; the results of which may be useful for other projects and for building portfolios.
On this course, you will:
- complete short and longer tasks using prompts, picture and music
- look at different methods of free writing
- assess the benefits
- explore journaling, and learn how it can be applied to mindfulness and reflection
- build a dialogue around free writing.
What will I gain?
By the end of the course you will have a clear understanding of free writing and its benefits.
You might also have the start of a collection of work suitable for further development, and the knowledge of how to tailor free writing to suits your personal needs.
