Furniture Making Workshop - Short Course at NTU, Nottingham Trent University

About

Nottingham Trent University
9 - 13 August 2021, Monday to Friday 10 am - 4 pm, one week
£725

This course is for anyone who has an interest in furniture design and making.

No prior woodworking experience is necessary as you'll be guided step-by-step through the different processes to create a piece of furniture.

This hands-on course will introduce you to a wide range of hand tools, machine tools and spray finishing techniques.

On this course, you will:

- be inducted into our well-equipped product design workshops
- use tools such as dimension saws, surface planers, thickness planers, flatbed sanders, routers and spindles
- explore different finishing techniques that will make your piece truly unique.

What will you gain?

By the end of the course, you will have a thorough understanding of the different workshop processes, and a finished piece of furniture (a coffee table with drawer) that shows how you have applied these to your project.

Level: Beginner

Entry requirement: No experience is required.
