Glow Worm Walks at Sherwood Forest

About

Enjoy an evening wander in search of a luminescent inhabitant of Sherwood Forest; the glow worm.

This guided walk will take you in search of female glow worms, who emit an atmospheric green glow when patiently awaiting the arrival of their mate.

Sightings are not guaranteed but being out in the forest as darkness descends is an opportunity not to be missed!

Please note: this event involves a walk of approximately 2.5 miles in length and therefore requires a certain amount of physical fitness and is not suitable for persons with mobility issues, pushchairs or young children. It will involve a walk of approximately 1.25 miles before the glow worm colonies are reached.

This event will finish in the dark so please bring a low powered torch and insect repellent is recommended.

Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

Price & booking:
£7.50 (£6.00 for RSPB Members)
Not suitable for under 8s.

Booking essential; please book via the 'website' link at the top of this page or in the Visitor Centre.

Please note, a booking fee applies via EventBrite.
