Gordon Cheung is a British contemporary artist whose work captures the mood of the global collapse of civilization - or a dystopian, prophetic vision of it - where moral, economic and environmental crises have spun out of control.
Spiritual undertones are balanaced alongside familiar contemporary images including sources from popular media, cyberspace, nature, and more recently, from historical painting that includes 17th century 'Golden Age' Dutch still life. This exhibition features brand new paintings, digital prints and animations made especially for Nottingham Castle, including Cheung's own responses to aspects of the fine art collection.
Nottingham Castle is open daily from 10am - 5pm (last entry 4pm)
