Nottingham Castle
Price: Adult ticket: £20 | Child: ticket £14 | Concession: £18 | Essential companion: free
Join Nottingham Castle for outdoor theatre from Oddsocks Productions. Hamlet the Comedy finds the eponymous royal student returning home for the summer holidays only to discover something rotten in the state of Denmark, and it’s more than just the bag of dirty washing!
Mum’s married Uncle Claudius and Dad’s dishing the dirt from his grave – it’s enough to make a teenager mad!
Shakespeare’s famous tragedy is performed as you’ve never seen it before with lots of laughs, music and memorable moments.
What could be more memorable than a summer evening of open air theatre in beautiful grounds? Bring your blankets, or camping chairs, and share a drink or picnic as the sun sets over stunning cityscape views.
The Coffee Shop inside the Castle's Visitor Centre will be serving beverages until 7pm, and snacks including nachos, hotdogs and popcorn will be available for the duration of the event from the ice cream truck on the Middle Bailey.
Oddsocks Productions takes classic texts and creates bold, challenging innovative and interactive theatre to be enjoyed by all. They tell good stories, in exciting ways and have been touring nationally and internationally for 30 years, performing at theatres and in the open air.
