Beeston Fields
Free Event

A rare chance to find out the history of this house and the family that built it. One of Victorian Beeston's richest families.

Rebuilt in 1837 by Alfred Fellows of the Nottingham banking family, this prestigious building has been owned by Sir Albert Ball, father of the WW1 flying ace, and Sir Frank Bowden of the Raleigh Cycle Company. In 1923 Alfred Mitchell, a local motor agent bought more land and established a golf club. A rare opportunity to tour the house. The billiard room in particular should not be missed.

The tour is in the club house and its immediate surrounds. Most of which is wheel chair accessible.
