Creswell Crags

Heritage Open Days 2017
Creswell Crags
Sunday 10th September
10am - 5pm

Free Entry!

Free entry to the exhibition at Creswell Crags on this Heritage open day, followed by a talk by 'The Hyena Woman' - Jane Ford - a PHD candidate from the University of Sheffield, who put Eric together!

The exhibition is home to an interactive timeline of Creswell Crags, dating back 120,000 years. The museum also houses a collection of some of the most intriguing and fascinating artefacts that have been discovered here at Creswell Crags, including Eric, the baby hyena, who's complete skeleton was found in one of our caves!

The exhibition also houses an augmented reality sandbox as a relatively new addition. This is a fantastic extra for encouraging children of all ages to interact, engage and learn about the geology of the site. Children love being able to make it rain, simply with their hands!

Parking charge still applies, as do cave tour charges
