"Exciting Stuff!" - Clare Teal – BBC Radio 2
One of the UK's most exciting saxophonists, vocalists and composers, Kim Cypher performs her debut at Peggy's Skylight with her highly popular 'Love Kim x' album tour. This is the perfect opportunity to hear tracks from Kim's new album performed 'live' with her band of top UK musicians.
Inspired by the funkier side of jazz and having studied alongside US saxophonist Pee Wee Ellis and internationally acclaimed jazz saxophonist Andy Sheppard, Kim's style of performance is best described as 'funky saxophonist meets 1940′s jazz singer'
She performs an eclectic mix of music spanning many genres with a quirky, jazzy twist together with her own original material, all packaged up in a captivating performance and warm stage presence. Kim's 2nd album 'Love Kim x' is a collection of inspired original music and quirky takes on some well-known classics all performed with great verve and style.
With a phenomenal line up like this performing a fabulous selection of music, this is without doubt a night not to be missed!
