With a brand new Christmas album, Kate Rusby rounds off 2023 and celebrates her 50th birthday in style with a Christmas tour full of warmth, sparkles and her festive music from her new and previous Christmas albums.
"Kate Rusby remains Britain's most popular female folk singer because she has mastered the art of Christmas songs" – The Guardian Hailed as 'The Start of Christmas' for many, a Kate Rusby Christmas Concert perpetuates the tradition of Yorkshire carols, specific carols still sung in the pubs of South Yorkshire.
Her happiness, humour and storytelling are a feature of Kate's live shows branding herself as a 'Holly Head' – someone who loves Christmas. Joining her on stage for this unmissable evening of Christmas cheer will be, as ever, her hugely talented and intuitive band of musicians including producer and husband Damien O'Kane as well as a top-flight brass quintet affectionately known as The Brass Boys.
A folk singer at heart, she's taken the genre to new heights appealing way beyond the folk scene and her Yorkshire roots, headlining in the UK and internationally, performing with other big names in music across genres. She has a number of TV, radio and film credits to her name as well as her own record company and festival.
