About

Lady Macbeth with Director Q&A
Friday 21st April 2017
Broadway Cinema

British director William Oldroyd will present a special preview of Lady Macbeth at Broadway, before joining Broadway’s Programme Director, Caroline Hennigan, for a post-screening Q&A.

Starring up-and-coming actress Florence Pugh (The Falling), Lady Macbeth is an adaptation of Nikolai Leskov’s novel, Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk. Moving the story to 19th century England, Lady Macbeth is a Gothic tale and riveting thriller about a young woman trapped in a marriage of convenience, and whose passionate affair with a servant unleashes a maelstrom of murder and mayhem on a country estate.

The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last September, before screening at the Sundance Film Festival in January.

The film will then be released nationwide on Friday 28 April.
