Learn to Draw with Jennifer Bell
Holme Pierrepont Hall
Tuesday 19th June 2018, 10am-3pm
In a one day workshop Jennifer will be teaching the basics of how to draw a self-portrait; observation and how to be accurate, drawing styles and the presentation of an image. A guided tour by the owners, Charlotte and Robert Brackenbury, of the collection of portraits at Holme Pierrepont Hall will provide an inspiration. All drawing materials and paper supplied, but bring your own mirror, preferably one that can sit on a table top.
Jennifer Bell is a versatile and multi-talented artist with a passion for encouraging everyone to discover and grow their artistic talent. She has had success in many art fields including mural painting – among many prestigious commissions are murals for the George Hotel, Stamford, and Stapleford Park Country House Hotel, Melton Mowbray and she won the ‘World of Interiors’ international design competition 2 years running. She has illustrated children’s books for JA Allen, Hamish Hamilton and Magi, she loves painting portraits of people and animals, particularly horses - she exhibits regularly with the Society of Equestrian Art, organises and tutors workshops, and has written several highly thought of books on drawing horses including one for the Pony Club.
