The topographic survey will record features in fields to the North of Cuckney church and will be undertaken using a range of different mapping and surveying equipment including a survey grade GPS, robotic Total Station and Total Station.
You will have a chance to undertaken all the different techniques and learn all about surveying and the local history and archaeology of the site.
Please note the dates include a Saturday to enable as many people to attend as possible. This Saturday is a full survey day the same as the other days.
However, Saturday 16 June is also a Public Open Day for people to come along and see what is happening, and learn about the project as a whole, as well as learn about the survey itself.
To be involved, email Andy Gaunt, Director of Mercian Archaeological Services, informing him let which days you would like to attend.
There may be a limit on how many days are available per person (but this depends on numbers - so please let Andy know your preferred days).
